The battery pack has to be charged in the instrument. The life of NiMH batteries is strongly influenced by the care that they receive. If properly maintained, the battery is capable of more than 500 charge/discharge cycles before dropping to 80% of capacity. Do not exceed the allowable ambient temperatures during charging, operating, or storage.
